What exactly is the Retreat?

Te Toki Retreat and Te Toki Guest House are luxury self contained holiday homes.

Do you provide the food?

Te Toki Retreat is not a Bed and Breakfast or a Hotel/Lodge.  We have a number of very good local caterers that we can recommend to cater to small or large groups.  (Please see our catering section for details)   The caterers we recommend are familiar with the Retreat and its set-up and offer excellent service and value for money.

The local supermarket on Waiheke is Woolworths with quite a large range of products they have most general products.  If you want anything really specilised we recommend you use the New World in Freemans Bay, Auckland) is just 3-4 minutes drive away from the Ferry terminal.

Is there is local bakery?

A  world class bakery  "EUROPEAN BREADS" is just 2 mins drive away from Te Toki Retreat (the only one on the Island) just before the Woolworths supermarket right opposite the RSA or Saturday Market in Ostend.  Its called "Baked on Waiheke".  The local baker Derek as had his training from all over the world including Switzerland/France/Germany/USA to name a few.  The croissants and danishes are straight out of the Streets of Paris and are not to be missed. So is the bread and other offerings.  Be sure to arrive early to ensure you secure your supply.

It is essential to place orders for larger groups(up to 10) as everything can sell out very fast.
